Academy Village is a vibrant and friendly retirement community ideal for active, independent adults who have no intention of retiring from life. It is located in the foothills of the beautiful Rincon Mountains, just east of Tucson and next door to one of the nation’s great national parks. Cultural events, fitness classes, lectures, and a wide variety of interest groups will provide you with limitless possibilities for personal growth, well-being, and creativity.
The village is uniquely designed to allow you the opportunity to pursue the next stages of your life among friends. Residents are engineers, physicians, nurses, teachers, attorneys, homemakers, business owners, professors, military, psychologists, astronomers, and more. The Village contains only 264 homes, making it easy for you to quickly become a part of the community.
At the heart of our village is The Arizona Senior Academy, a non-profit corporation devoted to life-long learning, thinking, and doing. Life in Academy Village will keep you engaged whether you plan to continue working, volunteer in community efforts, participate in educational or leisure activities, or discover an entirely new passion.
And where did Academy Village get its name? A recent article in The Arizona Daily Star answers this question: Village for Retirees.
